برای یاد گیری زمان گذشته کامل استمراری یا Past Perfect Continuous بد نیست ابتدا نگاهی به حالت غیر استمراری آن یعنی گذشته کامل بی اندازید.
گذشته کامل استمراری شباهتی نیز به زمان حال کامل استمراری دارد که بد نیست آن را هم فرا بگیرید.

با توجه به مثال های بالا جملات مشابه خود را بسازید.
ساختار زمان گذشته کامل استمراری همان طور که از اسمش بر می آید شامل دو بخش اساسی و مهم می شود نکته اول که وقتی می گوییم استمراری یعنی ING دارد و وقتی می گوییم کامل باید فعل have را داشته باشد همین طور که میبینیم زمان گذشته است پس از Had استفاده می کنیم.
.They had been eating lunch before I arrived
.She had been teaching math for ten years then she was retired
.My dad had been working in Google before he was retired
برای منفی کردن زمان گذشته کامل استمراری کافی است بعد از فعل Had کلمه Not اضافه کنیم.

برای سوالی کردن Past Perfect Continuous فقط کافی است Had را به اول جمله بیاوریم.
